Russell B. Long Federal Courthouse
This 169,000 square foot courthouse required special consideration to blend architecturally with the adjacent 1932 Art Deco style Federal Courthouse and to remain respectful of the majestic surrounding live oak grove. POST ARCHITECTS, as part of a Joint Venture, was instrumental in providing modern, efficient facilities for the United States District Court and the Federal Government.
The building's location serves as a "Gateway" entrance to the city's CBD. Careful coordination between the building's entrance and site development resulted in a close tie to the major street leading into downtown Baton Rouge.
